Dark was the night gets some brownie points for the title alone. It was a fun quiet movie that moved slowly towards an awesome built up that pays off, but gets sidetrack when it tries to be more than a monster flick.
It isn't really a spoiler to say the film revolves around two members of a family dealing with a family death. I am disappointed in the "Dark Was The Night" cover, can't say the Kronos Quartet did much with it. I'd just assume hear the original song, it's too similar and not nearly as haunting or genuine and soulful. But Feist chimes in well with probably the stand out tune in "Train Song."
